About us

 

Atelier Dulci was founded by me, Nelli, a 31-year-old mother with a deep love for timeless and elegant baby clothing. As a mom to a little boy, I often struggled to find classic pieces for my son which are sweet in a traditional way. Instead of modern and dominating prints, I wanted to find delicate and classic options, which turned out being not easy at all. This challenge sparked the idea for Atelier Dulci: to create something that is missing here in the Nordics by combining Southern European elegance I experienced in Portugal with the simplicity we cherish here in the North.

 

One of the cornerstones of our collection, the charming mini-scarf, draws inspiration from my own childhood. My mother, who often bought scarves during her travels, would sometimes adorn young me with them on special occasions. The memory of wearing mom’s scarves, infused with her perfume, brought always a sense of safety and happiness that I now wish to share through Atelier Dulci.

 

We produce all our pieces in Portugal, ensuring we know exactly where and how they are made. Our small atelier in the Lisbon area crafts every single item with care and love. One of our signature pieces, the collared baby onesie, essential underwear, is made in a fabric of a trusted collaborator, also based in Portugal.

 

Our mission is to create special pieces that can be cherished and passed down through generations. We proudly embrace the principles of slow fashion, focusing on quality and sustainability.
